I pay salutations and prostrations to Ganesha, which removes our inner and outer obstacles.

Ganesha is the remover of our obstacles and the Lord of the Ganas (Shiva's goons); when you know your goons, your ignorance, only when you know your ignorance can you remove them.

Vagisha is another name for Ganesha, which means the Lord of sound. Ganesha's bija mantra is Om which is the vibration of everything.

Sarisha is another name for Ganesha, the Lord of goodness and auspiciousness.

Sharanam is to take refuge.

Lord, give us refuge in you from our goons (demons), our ignorance.

Lord, provide us with refuge in your sound/vibration.

Lord, give us shelter in your auspiciousness and goodness.
